We use values and calculations from cumulonimbus clouds that are likely between 500-16,000 meters highThe stated cloud height is a vast overestimation compared to most cloud types, and the blog doesn't really substantiate that beyond using the figure. Could you explain why you're using that value?
The height of Cumulonimbus clouds has been changed to Nimbostratus and the numbers and speeds have been changed. Please check againWell, no. The calculation uses 8304.8 meters, which is the value of cumulonimbus but much higher than the value you just cited. In actuality it probably shouldn't do this, I've talked about this on the calc itself.
