Yeah, except Lex is pretty much always controlling him. John would have to realize that those drones flying around are telling Ultraman what to do and destroy them. Even if he somehow manages to do so without getting the brakes beaten out of him in the process, it's only gonna give him a small advantage. His opponent is still stronger in every aspect.

Since this is season 3, I still believe Ultraman takes this. Unfortunately for the seven, it’s basically a 3v1. It’s like Omni-man vs the Guardians of the globe, but most of the globe can’t actually hurt Ultra Man, and they lack any teamwork.
Ultraman one-shots all members of the seven besides from Homelander, and Maeve.
I can see them potentially beating Ultra Man if they cooperate together, and have him stay close to the ground, but Ultraman just overpowers them majority of the time.

• The only people who can deal meaningful damage and won't get oneshotted are Homie and Maeve. Good luck having them cooperate because they absolutely hate each other's guts.
• Starlight has one single 8-B attack and that's it. She can maybe try to blind him? Minor inconvenience #1.
• Noir is agile as hell and can aim-dodge Homelander's attacks despite the latter being way faster. Still ain't doing anything to Ultraman. Minor inconvenience #2.
• A-Train with speed equalized could actually be really useful if he used his speed to save his teammates or distract the enemy. Too bad he wouldn't do that and even if he did, he'll suffer a heart attack after like 5 minutes of going at super speed. Minor inconvenience #3.

Lex telling Ultraman what to do counts as outside influence. So Lex can't help Ultraman in this match. And when it comes to skills, Ultraman is even more inept than Homelander without Lex.

Although Ultraman has both AP and LS advantages, the AP advantage isn’t significant enough for a one-shot, and Ultraman is too inept to make use of the LS advantage.

Queen Meave is skilled enough to defeat Ultraman all by herself. Even Homelander can take him down.

He doesn't resist Light, so she can blind and stun him. Which would make Homelanders job SO much easier especially when characters like Maeve or Noir who are far more skilled helping in the battle
