Type 9 Restriction Question

So typically type 9 is prohibited (users true self exists within another realm, or their immortality is dependant on said realm). What if said characters regenerate in said Realm? For example if a character is revived/regenerates through said realm, would their type 9 still be restricted, or would it be treated as regen?
