That's right. These guys are lean, they're mean, and they want the respect they deserve. A god damned magikarp vs a ******* flumph. 10-C versions for both. Who wins and why?

This is unironically inspired by me and Cal memeing over which one is more attractive 11/10.

Speed equalized, fight takes place around a river flowing through the Underdark. Who wins and why?

If this is exclusively 10-C Magikarp, then Flumph takes this no problem. It's AP is super low, but its acid would eventually do enough damage to bring down Magikarp. Magikarp, meanwhile, just impotently splashes and accomplishes nothing. Even if it runs out of PP and Struggles, Flumph can read its intention and avoid the inaccurate attacks.

If event moves are allowed, Magikarp can use Hydro Pump, which easily gives it the range advantage.
 
Event moves shouldn't be allowed, but Magikarp does have a ranged move (Dragon Rage) via the TCG.
 
Also worth mentioning that Magikarp can survive 'in any body of water, no matter how polluted it is', which should give it some defence against Flumph's acid attack
 
Magikarp via attacking with tackle and doing extra damage when he's hurt with Flail, which are probably going to end the fight before Flumph's acid thanks to Magikarp's very limited resistance to acid.
