This is Post First RoSaT Base trunks vs Toei Frieza Saga Krillin. Speed is equalized and higher forms for trunks is restricted.

Same story as Vegeta vs Vegeta. Trunks decides to enter the pendulum time room after his father leaves but instead of meeting a version of his father, he instead encounters a version of Krillin.

Base Trunks scales to 237 Quettatons while Frieza Saga Krillin should scale to Toei Saiyan Saga Vegeta at 252 Quettatons

Trunks: 1

Krillin:

Inconclusive

Trunks should be a bit better of a fighter and have saiyan physiology but also Krillin has solar flare and destructo disc

I think I'll give it to Trunks since I doubt Krillin goes for a kill here with destructo disc

A lot better based on...what? Do we have any concrete statements of Gohan being more skilled than say.....Master Roshi? Who Krillin studied under for much longer than Trunks did Future Gohan.

Krillin has a clear edge in battle experience (on top of a greater wealth of techniques), is a naturally crafty and resourceful fighter, and benefits from the fact that he can move without conscious thought due to his training on the Lookout.

By virtue of Goku being superior to Roshi? and Frieza scaling to Goku in skill? You're trying to argue early DBZ is superior in skill to later DBZ lol

Krillin could have an edge in battle experience but that's not gonna be a huge factor here since Trunks can't really make rookie mistakes like he did with Cell where he goes grade 3 and slow himself down. Also the conscious thought movement has literally never been used outside of the filler it was introduced, it's never been a factor in any of Krillin's fights in Toei.

Trunks probably just Saiyans a way to victory here since the ap advantage is non existent, Krillin won't be lobbing kienzan's here so his best bet is Solar Flare which likely doesn't work twice.

Trunks didn't really "outskill" Frieza though. He one-shotted him with a sword slash then dismembered the remains iirc. I wouldn't argue if you said Goku was superior to Krillin, sure. but Trunks? At this point in the series? Idk bro.

I mean it's still notable when we're talking about skill. Krillin's got several tricks that could certainly throw Trunks off, such as suddenly altering the directions of his ki blasts, or splitting them into a danmaku-esque barrage to make them more difficult to dodge. And while the unconscious movement may not have been a factor then, in a match where his speed is explicitly equal to his opponent it should allow him to keep pace with Trunks for an extended period.
Trunks probably just Saiyans a way to victory here
I mean if the Saiyan Accelerated Development kicks in he could probably surpass Krillin, so I guess that's fair. :alien:

This is actually a Trunks capable of training with Vegeta for a year, I think a skill gap if there's any should be negligible at worst.

That's fair on the techniques, but I'm pretty sure the androids deploy similar scattering ki blasts and such iirc; so maybe Trunks won't be caught off guard entirely but I'm probably misremembering
