Tree vaporizing

Depends on the size of the tree mostly, but assuming its as big as the General Sherman tree (so really big high-ball) it would be 3.821333×10^13 joules.

Find the average volume for a tree and I can calc it for you.

Not really, volume is what is needed here, without that I can't help.

Um, you do know what volume is right? Any 3-D object should have a volume, for example I got one for the big tree above.

I could try finding an average tree's volume through height and radius (which you would need to find), but the result would assume the tree is a cylinder, is that ok?
