Topaz's RPG Stats Equal Tournament: Round 8! Anna (EBF5) vs Ness (1-0-0)

From what I remember from playing Earthbound, Ness' moveset is very limited, with some of the only offenses he has to deal damage being PSI Rockin and his weapons.

That being said, his only trump card here is Hypnosis given how Anna lacks any resistance to Sleep Manipulation, but the issue is that it can be dodged by smart opponents, where Anna is basically proven to be a competent fighter. Meanwhile, Anna's got a much wider moveset, better range/AoE, can resist Ness' paralysis, and even utilize summons to overwhelm Ness. It's true that Ness has been used to fighting more than one opponent before, but considering how he's more used to fighting more than one opponent with his party, he's more than likely going to be overwhelmed by the 150+ summons Anna has. It doesn't help the fact that Ness has no resistance to instant death with any of his gear, and given how Anna can just scan Ness' stats to see what resistances and weaknesses he has, she is more likely to land a finishing blow to Ness faster than Ness can figure a good strategy to take Anna down.

Voting Anna low-mid difficulty.
