its Reality Warping in a way that its defense against technology that negates physics to some degree.

the 'physics negating tech' is of same nature as Space Monster's ability. It involves manipulation of wave-function (whatever that is) and manipulation of Entropy. Spinoff video said it has something to do with reconstruction of scattered information (hence Entropy reversal on SM's page) and creation of energy.

I personally think the reason why Gunbuster (Enemy mech) need beam of minus hundred billion degrees is to bypass said Entropy manipulation.

haxwise, it seems SM has adaptation that lets it able to survive inside 80 AU wide blackhole.
