Theory about Cell's Regenerationn.

As everyone know, Cell claimed he can regenerate as long as his "head's core" is ok. However this is weird considering BEFORE that statement his head was destroyed twice (by Goku's kamehameha and by his self explosion).

But I think he instinctively talked about Piccolo's power (who indeed just need his head to regenerate). I think the fact he absorbed androids 17 and 18 and evolved to his perfect form also allowed his Regenerationn ability to evolve (to the point he can regenerate from a single cell). it was also showed his Regenerationn ability was linked to his cells and his DNA (the evolved Regenerationn ability he obtain with his perfect form became a part of his genetic code), since he was able to regenerate as super perfect cell and not as semi perfect cell.

This theory about his evolved Regenerationn ability can explain why he was able to regenerate after his head was destroyed. However as I said before it's still weird he talked about the head's core after it was destroyed (only explanation I found is he instinctinvely said that).

Hello there, this is my first post here :3

I think Cell's Regenerationn works a lot simpler than it seems.

First off, we all know how Piccolo's Regenerationn works, as long as the wound doesn't kill him (getting his heart pierced or his head destroyed for example) he can regenerate. Now this is where Freeza's cells come into play, Freeza can survive any kind of injury except for being destroyed until there is nothing left (his flaw not being able to regenerate).

Now just add these two together and you have a Cell that can survive anything as long there is at least a cell left, and then he can regenerate (plus he recieves a zenkai boost if he almost "died").

About the thing with Cell talking about needing his nucleus in his head to regenerate, I do believe that he just didn't know about how far his own regenerative powers could go, I mean he also didn't know that he would survive blowing himself up.
