The Taken King vs The Golden King

Okay but why though

What does this GK variant do?

Oryx resists both of those. To what degree are they?

Oryx Takes people all the time in both keys.

@Wokistan:

Golden King's stare can atomize hundreds of Critters which are basically this, and that's before assuming his Ultharathotep form, which by then in said form boasts his power hundreds of millions of times than before.

His Cracking Field can reshape the laws of physics and in this form, it expands to the point of rivaling that of the entire world itself in size (world ofc being in the context of the earth itself).

His other ultimate ability in this form is probably his Hands, which can break the boundaries of space-time and allows him to hit someone instantly and bypass their physical defenses as well as attacking "both the physical and metaphysical, the real and illusory" or whatever that means but it seems to mean he can hit more than on a physical level at least.

That's all I can say about GK's capabilities here.

Oryx's resistance in key 1 comes from resisting the RW/lawhax of Guardians, as he can tank quite a lot of hits from them before being forced to retreat. He also was totally immune to anything Quria could do, a vex mind who was stalemating The Daughters of Oryx and Crota. The Deathsinger twins can create and destroy axioms defining the entire ascendant plane, which bare minimum is an entire universe. The Guardian's law/RW also can override that of Crota's throne world. Throne worlds will passively annihilate interlopers, as shown by how Mara Sov was nearly driven insane by being around, and yet the Guardians are still able to defy this law and impose their own reality onto Crota, that reality being that Crota is dead after being shot and wacked by his own sword. Oryx also doesn't abide by the laws of physics himself, and straight up calls himself "not bound by law"]. Lawhax has to get by that, his type 4 acausality, his own law manip, and his resistance.

Even discounting resistances, none of it really seems like it'd get past his immortality, which is based on his true form. His true form's resistances are probably higher dimensional, given that by now the PC's have killed and taken the strength of his daughters and most of the rest of his army and still can't even damage him. There's also the issue with key 2 Oryx being in a transcendent realm that is the Ascendant Plane, and somehow even less bound by causality before, so idk if GK can even reach him.

So, stomp or decisive?

The taking is only semi passive in this key, if we use an Echo. He's constantly exuding Taken blight, but it still takes some amount of time to spread.

So is anyone who GK gets resisted by a stomp? How does he even get matches? Either passively wins, or can't and gets stomped.

Kinda like key 2 Oryx tbh.

@Woki: Yes. I don't think GK has anything that's potent enough to get around all of that of even Oryx at this stage here (unless there's some untranslated Steampunk stuff that I've yet to dig but even then, I don't think it would change the outcome of this much).

Checking his profile more in depth, I agree.

Closing.
