I'm almost done with the profiles just need one or two more CRT after this one conclude. But anyway let's get right into it.

The arguments are in this blog but I'll post them here too.

Magic

Grimalkin, one of the best magic user in the series, couldn't affect a Varteki with her magic as they are resistants to the magic used by witches. Yet one of the protagonist, Alice a witch, effortlessly killed a grown one with her spells. Alice would thus get one layer of magic.
Old Gods can use magic that is beyond that of Alice's even at her prime. Thus they would also receive a layer of magic.

Tom with the Starblade is immune to Alice's magic, then he should have one layer of magic resistance.
Although we haven't see her straight up resist an Old God's magic, Alice fought several times Old Gods that fight with their magic, like Circe in Wulf's Bane, so she should likely have some resistances to their magic, Alice would then have Likely 1 layer to her resistance to magic.

Madness Manipulation (Type 3)

The Fiend possess the ability to drive insane those that look at his true form. Several characters resist it such as Tom Ward. However, Pan who also possess that ability can affect Tom with it. Thus Pan would have one layer of Madness Manipulation.

Golgoth fought Pan in his battle form and Pan refused to fight directly the Fiend as he feared he would be defeated. So they should both have a layer of resistance to madness manipulation (Type 3).

Invisibility

In the series many characters possess the ability to see that which is invisible yet a few characters still remain hidden to their sights:

They receive then a layer of invisibility.

TLDR:
  • Alice and the Gods receive 1 layer of magic.
  • Tom with the Starblade receive 1 layer of magic resistance, Alice receive 1 too but with a Likely rating.
  • Pan recieve 1 layer of madness manipulation while Golgoth and the Fiend receive 1 layer of resistance to it.
  • Jenny, Kratch and boggarts on his levels as well as users of cloacking spells receive 1 layer of invisibility.

Note: the references are in the blog.

Agree: FinePoint (Excepted the layer of magic for the Gods and the resistances of Alice and the Fiend)
Disagree:
Neutral:

This feels more like a power level thing than a layered resistance thing.

Pan having 1 layer of Madness Manipulation seems fine, but how does Pan refusing to fight them prove it wouldn't work on them?

Seems fine.

Maybe with the Old Gods bit but Alice pretty consistently bypass resistances to magic such as those of the seventh son of a seventh son.

For the varteki, if it's was just a potency thing then Grimalkin would not think that she need to learn the secrets of Kobalos magic, she would instead aim to strengthen her magic which can be done in several ways. Plus at the time Alice was trying to use as little magic as possible in order to latter ravage the Fissure, it would not make sense for her to throw twice a spell stronger than anything Grimalkin, who is already pretty strong, can muster.

Golgoth fought Pan with the latter in his battle form (the same that affected Tom). And a few seconds of looking at Pan was enough to put Tom in a coma for almost two days, Pan would not think that he would lose if the Fiend would just drop on the floor defenseless after a few instants.

Alright. It's probably fine for everything except the Old Gods then.

Well, what if he wasn't sure if it would work or not?
