Im assuming that Recluse upscales from the same rating from the Hank vs Black Scorpion, which puts them in the same boat as that;

Phobos upscales ABSURDLY from his rating, to a point the only thing that really rivaled him in power were the Employers. The sheer fact he was killed is a miracle from god for Jebediah, considering he had literally nothing going for him even with the halo.

Phobos is very quick to go for the kill, and won't **** around when it comes to that. the second the fight starts he'll likely pull out his sub machine gun and immediately try and fill Recluse with bullets.

Phobos out ranges Recluse in close combat due to his sword, and can do his stupid ass several meter flips to give him distance to continue using his submachine gun.

Skill wise in combat, he just goes down a scaling chain of being superior than Hank and Co.

What a real pity it would be if that sword was parried and Lord Recluse counter attacked with his nine other limbs, seven or eight of them bladed, and each of those bladed ones having a weak but still there neurotoxin. that, or Lord Recluse says something to get Phobos to talk due to walking into any fight where the opponent lacks Information Analysis resistance with a handle on the defensive capabilities and the weaknesses of his opponent.

going off his profile, wouldn't those extra limbs still not be in range of Phobos due to his superior range, and those arms not seeming to have a higher range than his usual physical attacks?

Yes, but Phobos, due to his sword having two edges/a Medial Ridge, is actually fairly easily parried(Because there's 4 surfaces to parry on) assuming you're on the same general skill level and have dealt with swords before... A melee power in CoH is literally called "Broad Sword".

Doesn't this leave the two in the world's longest pissing match as long as they stay in QCQ, since Recluse can't get close enough to hit Phobos, but Phobos keeps getting parried?

Recluse is not a defensive fighter, he won't just parry Phobos' sword and then wait for him to recuperate, he will apsolutely attack, try to sneak attack with point-blank projectiles, etc.

Lord Recluse is not an honorable fighter in the slightest lol

Phobos doesn't care for honor, let's be real here. This is the same guy who decided to fight a random middle aged balding man with several Sleepwalker Patients (who are basically just slightly inferior Hanks), for the ***** and giggles of doing that.

Either way, if Recluse doesn't get stuck in a pissing match, chances are Phobos will decide to just keep rapidly switching from attacking him with his sword and trying to shoot him with his submachine gun. Phobos in this key is a mostly haxless fighter (besides him technically being able to summon Sleepwalker Patients to fight with him, but i didn't add that to the profile since that relied on him being at NEXUS Core to do that), so he doesn't have many options to do anything beyond his usual rapid switch between melee and range fighting style.

TBF, Lord Recluse doesn't have a lot of Mobility beyond the average stuff, so he's gonna have to trade range with range and melee with melee
