At least this wasn't FC vs canon counterpart type of battle (Which I really don't like to see)

Does Shirou use that soul stuff a lot? cause that I feel is giving him an easy victory here. (Probably not a full stomp)

Nope Kiritsugu (the soul shredding sword) is only used as a last and Final resort when not fighting Beings/people who have proven themselves to be absolute evil monsters( you know "the I will kill you, your loved ones and everyone in the immediate area" types, like Nrvnqsr and All for one from the past Two VS battles I've hosted). otherwise it's completely out of character for him to use it in any other kind of fight.

So it's likely he's not going to use it here.

I see Shirou winning from the looks of it, he has better stamina, range, intelligence, hax, plus that time control boosting his speed and the Regenerationn makes me lean more into his favor

True, Shirou has the advantige when it come's to stamina, range and the hax of his varying weapons however I see Zi Yu and Shirou being fairly even in intelligence and speed (thanks to time hax) otherwise Zi Yu has the advantige in raw Strength, Durability, and experience( even if shirou can partly cheat his way around that with his Pure Eyes).

I agree with BlackDarkness679 and also say that Shirou has better abilities and stats. Even he would not use his trumph cards as his last resort, i can see him winning in long run.

Yes, even other characters personality or other traits are not show i think that Shirou as expect Zi Yu also start with like little warm up, then increase as both begin try different tactics to overcome each others.

This comes what little i have been watching Fate series and Archers figthing style, i get image that they like test their opponent and then if situtation get worse they use their ``special`` moves or then just figth as long other drops out their steam.
