I've received a one-day pass from King Yema to fix some of the SAO downplay and also pass a couple CRTs. I leave for a month and people are already making uninformed FRA trains against the goat.
Now let's get this done properly.

The Black Swordsman:

The Hunter:

Rules:

First key Hunter and second key Aincrad Kirito

The Hunter has prior knowledge.

The Hunter's optional equipment is restricted

They start 20ft out of sight

The fight takes place in Central Park.

Kirito wins this, easily in fact, that I'm surprised you guys really went to the extent you did with no research. Let's start with the first thing, Kirito would find where The Hunter is first via the Searching skill. The searching skill allows users to detect enemies and players within a large range of them, allowing Kirito to find enemies within an entire forest. This includes enemies obscured by trees and whatnot.

So, a 20-meter range is nothing for Kirito, searching would allow him to find the hunter easily and move to dispatch him. But, another important part? The hiding skill, gives him stealth mastery, something he would certainly use against an opponent he can't immediately reach.

Now, the real nail in the coffin? Doesn't matter if the hunter has a gun, Kirito would notice it with his Searching skill and could use the Spinning Shield sword skill which blocks projectiles. This is especially important if he gets noticed while sneaking up on The Hunter.

It doesn't matter if the hunter moves away, Kirito will just keep moving towards him, and eventually kill him, analytical prediction will also help with dodging/defending against the bullets. The Hunter is getting owned by Kirigoat here.

It's also important to note, that a bullet to Kirito's head may not have the same affect as it would on a real person. As a game avatar, he lacks real anatomy/organs to make it matter. To him, it's just another normal attack that passes through him, not something instantly kills him and weakens him because that's not how SAO does hit detection.

It does sorta appear like a stomp, no?
It does, when you look at it Kirito has a skill that can make him practically invisible, something that's already boosted by his Black Swordsman coat. A skill that blocks projectiles, the hunter's ONLY wincon, and skills that immediately close the distance.

But hey, they thought it wasn't, So I don't think it's a stomp either, law of equivalent exchange.

Also, I'm p sure he can one shot the hunter which I don't get why that wasn't considered. Even WITH prior knowledge, Kirito still discovers everything HE needs to know with the searching skill. At which point it's fair game, he just does what I stated. Besides, how do you defend against analytical precog? Like do you... predict where they're predicting???

Actually wait, are you sure the Spinning Shield thingy can really block 9-A bullets? Kirito's only 9-B here.
The much higher is there for a reason, it's able to block attacks and projectiles from bosses who can one shot players, and in later interpretations even 8-C, 8-B level attacks.

Edit: This is also all considering the fact that the hunter even FINDS Kirito, he does not have stealth negation.

Also you call my hunter boi a ******* fraud.

At least he actually does have wins on his article.
I do not operate on a basis of "Ooooo my character has so many wins on their profile this makes my peenor hard." I saw a thread that was so uninformed and felt the need to fix it, nothing more, nothing less.

Also, ad hominem, debate the facts.

I do wonder if this is due to an outdated profile or not, but both the Search Skill and Spinning Shield are only listed in his Floor 2 key and onwards.
The Floor 1 key seems to lack both.

That's weird, because the scans are from the volume where he's on the first floor, Progressive 1 (Aria of a Starless Night). I think it's just oudated.

It's also from a short story known as "The First Day" a story which is literally about the first day in aincrad, which is the first floor.

It definitely explains why no one brought it up. Well, it should be a simple CRT either way.
Yeah, that's why I'm here today, SAO hasn't been touched in a while, hoping to lay the ground work down for Mark and another suppoorter to fix it.

Anyways, let's get some votes in here, before my SAO revisions maybe goes through.
