Well, it’s times, folks. All of us one day reach the end of an era of our lives and for me, that’s today. I will be stepping down from my staff positions as of this moment and will somewhat be leaving the wiki.
Some of you may have expected this with my many months of inactivity on the wiki itself. The truth is folks… Adulting is very real. My full time job and passion projects have really taken up all of my time. I simply don’t have the time or even the motivation to really to help maintain the wiki anymore. It takes an immense amount of work and I have already put in countless hours of work into the wiki so far. I am grateful for this site, as it got me through an immensely difficult part of my life and I’m also proud of all the work I have done for this site. But my era on it has come to an end and it is time to pass on the torch to the next generation.
I remember when I first joined back in 2017 (Goddamn, 7 years on this site, WOW). I was and still am invested in Fairy Tail power scaling as many people know. Times were rough back then and power scaling logic hadn’t fully developed. I remember trying to find a voice for myself as a small blue name who could barely make waves. But slowly over time, by putting in the effort, I clawed my way into the uper echelons and was able to make strides in the entire site itself. There are some site-wide standards I know I helped implement and that feels pretty cool. Revamping Fairy Tail into something great was my magnus opus on this site. But alas, as the times have moved on, so must I. The truth is, the power scaling community has changed so much and I simply can’t keep up anymore. I don’t ever ask myself who would beat who in a battle anymore. As of now, I never get salty about it. And THAT is the true sign that I need to move on.
Now everyone, this does not mean I’m FULLY leaving the site (Oh boy, how many people have said THAT before?). You will still see me comment on something from time to time and I will still probably help to some degree with the main thing I care about, Fairy Tail. But still, I'm grateful to everyone who has been with me along this part of my life. I’d especially like to throw out a thanks to CloverDragon, AnonymousBlank, KingTempest, Arc7Kuroi, DarkDragonMedeus, LordGinSama, DragonEmperor, Zackra1701, Eseseso, Jvando, Damage3245, and SO MANY MORE for everything (Anyone who wasn’t mentioned, don’t get salty, this is off the top of my head ya dorks). You guys have made this an extremely fun and sometimes stressful
experience. I know I wasn’t always the best moderator or calc group member, but I’m grateful nonetheless.
So with that, I pass things along to my successor (You know who you are)… It’s your turn now.
