The Amazing Downgraded Circus (TADC Downgrades)

I don’t think it moved at speeds so insane it generated around a billion Joules.
Using anti-feats of attacks generated by characters that are 100% just blatantly superior to the main cast to the point of them being akin to a God is kinda silly.
This isn't a real train that was designed for carrying passengers around, it was designed to harm Jax here. It's as silly as, say, saying Frisk is 10-C because they're damaged by Napstablook's tears or something.

Yeah, but same logic can be used in opposite manner, by saying kind Caine wouldn’t make lethal explosions in an adventure, you know? Since he, like, controls everything.

But I already said that, so I guess we’ll have to agree to disagree or smth here.

There's not really any reason to assume that. Pomni was literally turned into a stain on Caine's boot and she didn't die.
The train thing is just not an anti-feat at all, it's just a feat for Caine.

There's not really any reason to assume that.
It’s much more resource-saving and efficient for a program to have 30 low-energy/low-memory objects/events than 30 high-energy/high-memory ones. Caine having them at 9-C and then just making everything fit to them is physically and mathematically beneficial.
Pomni was literally turned into a stain on Caine's boot and she didn't die.
Well, by same logic, they could have gotten heavily damaged during the explosion and just regenned by the time they fell.

I already conceded on that, hence why I said I’ll get more anti-feats from earlier episodes.

I somehow doubt Caine cares about this in the slightest.

(You're really looking for any excuse to downgrade this verse, aren't you?) Isn't the whole bit that we saw them get hit by the truck on screen and they didn't get hurt? That's what Pomni's profile says.

Talking about energy consumption is reading into it way too much. Even if you want to entertain the idea, these characters wouldn't be consuming megajoules of energy. It's simulated energy that just falls under Reality Equalization, so, in reality, it's probably a couple hundred MWh per day to run the Circus if we really wanna look into it.
TADC clearly has far more advanced AI than we do today. Energy of running the Circus wouldn't be a problem.

You can take this as you will because the statistic is every AI data center annually, but AI consumes literally mountain levels of energy every year.

This is exactly what we did with Hazbin: there were many guns and cars etc. anti-feats, so we removed both tier 8 and tier 5 calcs (one for each) instead of saying guns simply upscale. Here, it is a single 9-A+, borderline 8-C, with tons of guns and knives and cars as anti-feats. In order to maintain consistency, I think they shall be downgraded.
Degrading the verse to human levels seems absurd, especially when using weapons as anti-feats, since penetrating damage is considered valid up to 8-C or, at most, scales based on the durability of the affected object if there is sufficient evidence. Furthermore, using vehicles as anti-feats isn't convincing on its own either; the fact that it's an anti-feat doesn't automatically make it conclusive enough to warrant a degradation without further justification, or even a "consistent" anti-feat.

I'm neutral on the rest, although the justification of intelligence and its degradation seems to make sense.

I would say I largely disagree with the whole downgrade here.

Verse equalization is a thing for a reason and it becomes a slippery slope if we don't allow scaling because "they're not real" and it defeats the point of this website anyway

Its fair to dispute the whole starry sky thing if you dont like that, I think the Sun and Moon upscale for Caine is fine as a middle ground. But I dont see what problem there is in assuming Caine is more powerful than the NPCs he makes, as we see he can snap them away like with Gummigoo and Abel.

Maybe some people were overly excited to make Caine cosmic and there is disputing that but it just seems a bit much to wanna say they're nothing but code so we can't scale it

I'm on the No side for pretty much all of it. Scaling him above the NPCs he makes feels like an easy assumption, verse equalization would mean it doesnt matter if they're real and we already have real-world units to pair with them (Chinese height chart, Spudsy's being a one to one McDonald's)

If they feel pain or get scared on high ledges its because they still have human minds with worries and stuff. That is why conjuring is such a big thing

I feel like the profiles are about fine as they are until the finale comes out

Eh, our current standards don’t give exactly yay or nay on these methods to powerscale (why don’t we have guns at 9-A then), so idk.
Because it's not energy, it's pressure, which doesn't scale to Attack Potency, and is instead treated as a very minute form of durability negation. It is mentioned on the Durability page that piercing damage / surface area can make substantial differences
Potential/kinetic energy still would be waaaay lower than 9-A+, so still an anti-feat even if above 10-B. 9-C fits here just fine.
Not if the damage is literally meaningless
I don’t think it moved at speeds so insane it generated around a billion Joules.
It was slamming into Jax via Caine, so yeah it could be stronger than just a normal car
Kaufmo literally ragdolls them.
And they take literally no damage whatsoever from it

This is exactly what we did with Hazbin: there were many guns and cars etc. anti-feats, so we removed both tier 8 and tier 5 calcs (one for each) instead of saying guns simply upscale
No timeframe, so just Unknown. Similar to what we do with Hazbin creation.
Tell that to Hazbin that got downgraded to Tier 9 from Tier 8 and 5 for similar reasoning.
Hazbin was downgraded for less. And currently we have tens of knife/fall/gun antifeats and one random dubious 9-A+ calc. Objectively, one would prefer the former.

Gonna make actual arguments later on

Ts is so ah

"Waiter, waiter, more anti-feat slop and forgetting reality equalization exists downgrades please"

Anyway yeah disagree FRA

Alright, let's downgrade Doki Doki Literature Club, Pixel Gun, and Sword Art Online because they take place in virtual worlds!
If I ever see DDLC being used again to defend TADC when the context is nowhere the same I'm going to explode.

Monika has a lengthy note at the end on her profile justifying why the game world there isn't a normal simulation jfc.

Regardless, everyone is right about the 10-C bit, you gotta need a site wide revision for that to even happen as it'd be a massive double standard compared to things like SAO otherwise.

Not gonna lie I agree with OP at least on the bit about TADC taking place in what is clearly intended to be a virtual environment of blatantly not universal size, tho yea we'd need a Staff Discussion thread.

Reality Equalization lowkenuinely shouldn't even be a thing but whatevs

I would support this, but at that point you do need a site wide revision for how we deal with these kind of verses.

Tbf we're pretty inconsistent with this.

Wreck-It Ralph is 9-A despite the fact that one of the major plot points of the movie involves how everything happens on arcade machines in-universe with characters even traveling inside the cables as electricity to get inside other arcade games.

BUT:
  • Amanda is 10-C because of her world being inside a tape in-universe.
  • Gene is 10-C because the entire point of The Emoji Movie is to showcase the world inside a phone.
  • Senpai is 10-C due to his world being within a PS1 game disc.

I might lowkenuinely make a Staff thread if I can gather more people to support me cuz reality equalization is just buffing verses for no reason most of the time
Edit: if yer interested PM me or smth ig 🦈🦐🐟

Okay, let's go.

1- The guy is portrayed as an all-powerful god within the circus who can one-shot the rest of the cast, from humans to abstractions to NPCs, and is even referred to as a god by them. He's in no way inferior to the NPCs.

2- The weapons were created by Cain to harm them + I'm sure I could downgrade most of the characters on this wiki using anti-feats. The crappy downgrade of Hazbin Hotel, where they used some random 9C anti-feats (which in itself contradicts the 9A rating) to downgrade them, only happened because people on this wiki don't like the verse.

3- Reality equalization.

This part is lowkey kinda true icl

No, getting harmed by guns doesn’t automatically mean that you’re 9-C max, it more than likely just means that the guns scale to you and are more powerful than irl ones
I don't understand why this keeps getting repeated here. There's literally examples of verses that got downgraded via weapons that aren't higher than tier 9.

Part of OP is literally mentioning how self-affirmations aren't trusted, with 2 mods agreeing beforehand.

That's not true at all (except the part where the wiki doesn't like Hellaverse) It's more-so that since there's more higher tier level feats in a verse, with less weapon anti-feats, the anti-feats wouldn't be viable to downgrade them. That was an issue for Hellaverse, because you only had 1 planet level feat, and the rest are people fighting with guns and weapons.

Cain controls all of reality; he can one-shot the entire cast of humans, abstractions, and NPCs and do whatever he wants with them.

He is objectively a god within the circus, so it makes sense that he and the NPCs consider him as such. To say that he is weaker than the NPCs is ridiculous.

You do realize this is referring to physicals right? The point is that he should scale to the cast in physicals, since self-affirmations from his NPCs don't really count. He'd still upscale from everyone ability-wise.

Dude, nobody in the circus can do anything to Cain, the only way he can be threatened is by hacking his code.

First off, we haven't seen any of them even attempt to fight him physically. Secondly, even if they did, that would be useless, as he controls the whole circus, meaning he'll just use his abilities to subdue them.
I'm just saying that the idea of Cain being stronger than the NPCs has enormous support within the narrative to be dismissed as unreliable.

• The NPCs call him God.

• He can one-shot the entire cast (including in episode 8 where we see him physically one-shotting the cast).

• The only way the cast can threaten him is by hacking his code.

Don't see why they'd make an entire episode saying "the only surefire way to subdue Caine is through his code" if he was not physically superior
Because why the hell would anyone actually attempt to physically beat him down? The guy can fly and controls the whole circus, and is immortal. Literally none of the cast can in any way be able to fight him, even if they wanted to. The issue in the argument is already resolved by the fact even if they wanted to, he has 90 more ways to subdue them via his abilities alone. Obviously defeating him with his code is the only viable way, as it outright deleted him.

The point that is questionable here is the NPCs being reliable. The consensus is that they aren't.
• He can one-shot the entire cast (including in episode 8 where we see him physically one-shotting the cast).
These instances seem more just being size manipulation to just slap them around. This wouldn't really make him upscale to most higher levels.
• The only way the cast can threaten him is by hacking his code.
Isn't really an anti-feat, when again, they wouldn't really be able to actually physically fight him.

What did @Eden_Warlock did with HH?:
1. Collected large amounts of antifeats against overlords being tier 5, many of which were fall damage or gun anti feats(and she actually did bring evidence that they are actually normal ass guns, so no gun upscale), but good share of them(like Cherri bomb, or fodders being threat to them) weren't. Most of the staff mentioned scaling being outlier as their main concern. Since normal overlords lacked anything above tier 9.
2. She didn't remove tier 5 and 8 feats, tf you are on? Peeps who did them still scale to these feats.
3. Overlords were downgraded to 9-A. They downgraded to it because they didn't had any higher feat.

What you are trying to do?
Using fall damage and gun antifeats(without proving that they are not stronger than real ones) to disregard main cast feat and downgrade them to 9-C.

There is zero similarity between two of them. Do not bring up that irrelevant CRT at all

2. She didn't remove tier 5 and 8 feats, tf you are on? Peeps who did them still scale to these feats.
They only scaled to them, because they don't have said anti-feats, and are 100x superior to these Overlords. Which is why they were deemed as outliers.
3. Overlords were downgraded to 9-A. They downgraded to it because they didn't had any higher feat.
That's not true? They contributed to stopping the Might of Lilith explosion.

but good share of them(like Cherri bomb, or fodders being threat to them) weren't.
The purpose of that is the fact characters who aren't Overlords are also regularly threatened by weapons, with the turf wars being notable examples.

My point is that the NPCs' statement have support, because he is portrayed as the strongest and most invincible being in the circus.

Anyway, I've said what I had to say about it.

I’m pretty sure they meant that the other overlords had nothing higher than 9-A outside of the Might of Lilith feat which was concluded to be an outlier.
And why was it concluded to be an outlier when most of these Overlords didn't have any feats? Outliers are deemed because they are inconsistent with the showings of a character, not because you have 1 on-screen feat and nothing else.
