not really bending it since DS and base Bang are > EC, and i don't see how it's inconsistent when they're just a lot stronger than they believed.

She didn’t have any idea how strong they are but clearly she knows exactly how they scale relative to each other, because she’s only inconsistent when it’s not inconvenient for you I guess

that part isn't true either, as the swordfighters are seen literally knocking away the balls while they don't explode on contact with the swords
choze's light balls were only shown one time during the entire series, so it's just the same situation there. Nothing is inconsistent about this.

How does this factor into the argument at all? We're just saying that Gyoro Gyoro doesn't consider him to be S-Class level.

Relative scaling between S-Class themselves doesn't even matter in this scenario, just that DS is an S-Class whom she has downplayed knowledge of, and Gyoro doesn't think Suiryu (whom she saw fight) is on par with him/S-Class.

This is splitting the finest hairs imaginable.

So we just use wrong statements for scaling now? Anyways it could just as easily be her wanking the monsters anyways

Yeah, because it's not as if we use those same statements to scale Tats' assumed level to Psykos. Statements can be wrong and still used for scaling in some form.

Where does she wank her monsters? It's insanely counter-intuitive because she's prepping for war against S-Class, and it really makes no sense when Psykos herself was extremely surprised that EC and Gouketsu were even killed, and said she didn't believe Tats was astronomically above Fubuki until Gyoro got obliterated.

The only potential instance I recall is when she told Rhino Wrestler himself that he could fight S-Class heroes, and he got one-shot by Atomic Samurai. Even then, Atomic was a higher tier S-Class, and RW could fight on par with Iaian who's on par with low/mid-tier S-Class.
