In the new Star Wars Thrawn book, Vader's first legion troopers were taking multiple hits from blasters. There was no indication of it being specialized armor, as Commodore Faro even pointed out that it was the same rank and file armor all troopers had. Though the amount of shots they took and what weapons they were hit by isn't exactly known but the passage said that one trooper took a few shots to the chest and helmet. And another trooper said that the enemy was armed with blaster rifles and two E-WEBs Just thought I should bring this to light. I also don't know if this counts for anything but the trooper that was hit was barely inconvenienced, the only thing noted was that she struggled a little to get back on her feet from a kneeling stance (She was in that stance from the beginning in case someone thinks she got knocked to it). There was no indication of her experiencing any pain.
