Stats Equal “The Player” Tournament R1M4: A cat tries to maul a demigod (0-0-2)

The fourth match begins! In the left corner…hey whose cat is this?
“Meow!”
Well, I guess that explains the paw print on the roster sheet. Anyway, in the right corner is Asura!

Stats equalized except intelligence, the cat’s death manip is restricted, and incon will be decided by coin flip.

Who wins and why?

Cat: 0

Asura: 0

Uhhh…: 2

Different keys for different matchups. It’s fun and games and I want these to be the most interesting they can be
In that case I'll just use Asura's first key for this one. With that said, I'd say Asura most likely wins this one since he has: Analytical Prediction(which means he can dodge every one of the Cat's attacks except the Homing ones), Supernatural Willpower(So he can most likely withstand the Cat's Fear Manipulation), Attack Reflection(To redirect the Cat's Energy Projection), and Immortality{Type 4}(To revive from the Cat's Death Manipulation).

and Immortality{Type 4}(To revive from the Cat's Death Manipulation).
This is the one I was concerned about the most because I was debating on whether to restrict the cat’s death manip or not due to the cat’s tendency to lead with it. So I guess that nulls their best wincon and, by extension, all others the cat might have.

On the second thought, Asura's Resurrection apparently takes him a few centuries to revive so this probably isn't combat applicable.

So do you have any argument for the Cat?
I wanna say his being small and able to teleport would make him harder to hit generally, plus he can summon additional cats to the field and try to keep them alive by singing, also does Asura have any defense against the cat’s life absorption?

Nope, although that ability doesn't seem to be lethal so Asura will probably be fine for a while.

This is looking pretty tight though. I think the advantages and disadvantages of each character should be listed somewhere for this. What say you?

Yeah, this match is a lot closer than I thought it would be. These would be the 2's advantages.

For Ashura he has: Genius Intelligence and Martial Arts(giving him the advantage in close combat), Energy Manipulation/Projection( Can release a circular energy waves[4] and omnidirectional[6] explosions), Homing Attack (Asura's heavy blasts home in[4] on targets onto which he has locked his sight, ranging from multiple enemies to different parts[8] of a single being), Enhanced Senses( He can target multiple foes at once), Acrobatics and Analytical Prediction( For dodging attacks), Statistics Amplification((Inflicting and receiving damage allows him to accumulate tension and then release it to enter "Unlimited Mode",[4] a temporary state during which Asura's strength is increased and he cannot overheat).

For the Cat it has: Summoning(For the numbers advantage), Teleportation(For dodging Asura's attacks), Forcefield Creation(For blocking some of Asura's attacks), Statistics Amplification(Not sure how effective this would be, but it might help), Life Absorption(To slowly wear-out Asura), and Healing(To recover from some of the damage.)

This is hard. Been thinking this over for days now and still can’t decide whose advantages outweigh whose. I’m gonna say incon for the time being.
