Statements vs Portrayal

In Movies, T.V, Graphic Novels, Manga, Anime, etc...

Which is generally the better source to use for feats? What characters say they can do or what characters are shown or written doing?

Like is portrayal higher priority than statements if it has enough context behind it to accurately gauge the situation that is occurring, like say a character showing that they can recreate their body from pure energy but no statement acompanies that feat stating that is what they're doing for example.

What is shown>statements, it's the reason why we have cw flash as mhs on here despite being stated to be mach 3. Feats take greater precedence over statements.

As stated before, Feats always surpass statements in validity because, as I've said many times before, authors rarely recognize the magnitude of the feats they're describing.

What Celestial Pegasus said, feats and how a character is consistently portaid takes priority over statements.
