It seems both scale to the same feat of creating a dimension with a starry sky. So it comes down to hax and intelligence/skill.

Dio isn't physically 4-A, he's level 8, so he can't physically hurt SpongeBob and will die if he takes a hit. However, Dio's strongest 4-A version has immense range and is via thought (no need to physically touch anymore), from what I remember, I could be wrong.

The OP doesn't specify which Dio's 4-A, so by the SBA I'm going to assume it's the strongest 4-A version of it. If SpongeBob doesn't resist some of Dio's abilities, he could think and beat SpongeBob.

However spongebob has a huge amount of hax and stamina which I won't read right now because I'm on mobile. I'm not voting.

I think it's cuz DIO is physically tier 8 compared to Spongebob's tier 4

SpongeBob does not resist EE or fate manipulation.

But for Dio to permanently kill him, he would need to have Soul EE.

Also, where's the thing about spongebob not having a soul?
