Just to make an actual sake of this thread, but I will ask 2 different things.
- Why is Spawn being able to affect Alvis being actually contested, they both got AE type 1 and Spawn in this key is merged with a 4-D entity.
- What does Shulk actually start with? This key gives him access to the the third Monado, which doesn't give so many specifications on how exactly his arsenal is portrayed.

AE1 can be granted by many different things, that's why you need feats of damaging each type to actually damage them, indeed idk what granted Spawn AE1 so it could be something different from Alvis' AE1.

Yeah no both characters profiles are outdated. Shulk is in eternal revisions and Spawn is pretty much all over the place.
Even if this wasn't a mismatch, debating characters while there are ongoing revisions for at least one of them is rarely a good idea
