If a character can come back from soul destruction, does that mean they can also come back and continue fighting when their soul is absorbed by someone else?
Similarly, if a character can resist soul destruction, does that mean they also resist soul absorption, or are they mutually exclusive?

They're mutually exclusive unless proven otherwise within verse iirc plus soul absorption tends to vary greatly in works of fiction.
