I've been searching info just to make sure the info shown in Godzilla-kun profile is correct..but it turns out the other way.
According Wikizilla (a trustable Godzilla info place) the Godzilla-kun video games are based on Godzilland, yes. But the problem is that nothing implies the games are canon to the OVAs.
Even both games came into existance many years before the OVAs, specifically in 1985 for the first part and 1990 for the sequel, while the OVAs came to existance in 1994.
Plus in the OVAs Godzilla's only known family is his human sister, while in the games he has a a mother, a father, a brother and his two grandfathers. His girlfriend in the games is called Bijira, while his girlfriend in Godzilland is Gojirin.
The final difference is that some of his allies in Godzilland are his enemies in the games..
Aside from using similar art style the only other connection is that they share the same title in both games and the OVAs, nothing else.
Therefore I propose split the two different Godzilla incarnations that are present in Godzilla-kun profile.
