Both are base, and no Mario Galaxy I feel all of that is just one massive outlier cause a slightly giant Bowser can be taken out by Mario. He wasnt even as big as he is in the intro of the game.
Anyway, both are bloodlusted, no power ups for Mario though he does get his hammer (though they will be allowed if it ends up being a stomp in Sonic's favor),
Battle takes place in a fusion of the plains of Mushroom Kingdom and Green Hill Zone. start 5 meters from each other.
Both have basic rudimentary knowledge of each other's capabilites. The area has some large and other sized rocks trees and fauna that can be picked up and used in any way the two see fit.
