I would like say that Goku does know how to fly in Dragon Ball. Goku couldn't fly in the beginning of his fight with Piccolo Jr but at the end he does actually fly at the last second to dodge Piccolo's attack.
He either learned it at the last second or he was hiding his ability to fly for something like this. Either way Goku should have flight on his Teenager profile.
Also Tien and Krillin both say Goku was flying.
