Solid Snake being able to lift Over 9000 tons is laughable.

Listing Solid Snake and Liquid Snake as being class M just because on an in game mechanic and outlier where Big Boss lifted Cocoon is just utterly ridiculous and discredits the whole point of this wiki.

Everyone knows perfectly well that Solid Snake cannot lift up the weight of the Eiffel Tower and then some so why even list it at that?

If he were that strong why didn't he just bend the bars to break out the prison? He can lift up skyscrapers yet can't break a pair of handcuffs.

This is not an outlier. He does it three times over in the game, and this is Metal Gear, where Weather Controlling ghosts, people with Lightning powers, Telekinetics / Psychics, Bug-Controlling people and the like all exist. A over 10 years younger Big Boss was capable of enduring and reacting to Volgin's lightning attacks, which are shown to be legit beams of lightning, for instance.

Writers just doesn't know how strong their characters are.

Big Boss / Snake is one of those characters with "Charles Atlas Superpowers". I.E, he is never particularly stated to be Superhuman, but he constantly demonstrates impossible feats over and over again, and evenly faces against powerful opponent. He is kinda like Guts from Berserk in a way.

It's an in game mechanic and nothing more. It's used to scale to other characters and make Solid Snake be able to lift 9,500 tons even though he rather obviously cannot but he can only break a pair of ordinary handcuffs after they are shot.

He's listed as being as strong as a multi city block....which again is idiotic for obvious reasons because he can withstand certain ingame attacks which also includes him being able to be killed by an ordinary guy hitting him with the butt of his rifle.

This is a video game, where strongest feats matter. Else we have things like Kirby being beaten by large building characters, Mario by 10-C, Master Chief by the same thing you're thinking of. In comparison, most people think Sora tops out at wall level, ignoring his highest feats. Same with Link, or even Cloud.

So Snake isn't superhuman only in-game.

To say that Snake is only a Peak Human with Game Mechanic feats is ridiculous. Big Boss went as far as being considered the greatest soldier of the 20th Century and it was his DNA that was cloned in the Enfants Terribles project. Keep in mind that this is a series full of people with supernatural powers, but they picked him.

Granted, Snake is only 8-A with strongest weapons, but him being Tier 8 in strength is consistent, he can match clear Superhumans with CQC, has hurt Vamp with CQC and also has the 9000 Tons lifting feat.
