Smash Bros Ultimate Key Additions??

Dude. Melee is on it's own pedestal.

Also, game mechanics have been added to other characters as well. Frisk's "Save" and "Load" is one example. Also, Sakurai never intended for the majority of the so-called "mechanics" to be implemented. The game is broken, that's what makes the characters powerful.

And also, even if they are game mechanics, what does that have to do with them being added or not added? Is there a specific rule that says "Game mechanics are not abilities"?

Genuine question, not trying to be rude or mean.

Please don't do that Undertale thing rn. There will be a blog about it in due time. Also because something is more notable in a series does not mean it gets its own verse page.

It's debatable. I just think that these characters deserve their own profiles due to their notoriety in gaming history. Even without game mechanics, these characters deserve profiles. The current Fox McCloud Profile doesn't mention anything about Fox's Attack Reflection via Shine ability, Forward-B ability, or Fire Manipulation via Up-B.

Or are these game mechanics as well?

My point is that there are missing Smash Keys.

Edit: Sorry, I meant to say that there are BARELY any smash keys. Also, that's Kirby, not Fox.

For most profiles, Smash is non-canon. Hence why they don't have smash keys.

I don't remember profiles having to be canon for them to be added either. Dragon Ball GT is non-canon and it's added.

Imagine not even checking the Kirby page and saying that.

That's a profile explicitly for the Smash Bros. version.

Kirby

Kirby (Smash Bros.)

GT isn't on Z's or Super's pages.

I mean, if Kirby has a smash key, I don't see why other characters cannot have Smash Keys. And yes, I'm aware that it's a profile explicitly for the Smash Version. Other characters on the roster should have keys too if Kirby has a Smash Key.

Also, what? What does Z or Super have to do with it?

GT is Non-Canon, and it's been added to this forum, 'so have the characters'.

Therefore, it shouldn't be an issue to add more Smash Keys.

The Smash verse is considered to be its own, and it consists of feats from the four games. Splitting them up would be nonsensical to do. Galeem and Tabuu are from different games, but they are still in the same verse page because there isn't a reason for the continuity to be split among the games. It's like calling Odyssey mario different from Galaxy mario.

Wavedashing, combos, and the like are Game Mechanics. You'd might as well restrict Pokemon from attacking out of turn. Characters with Smash pages are separate, and only important/interesting fighters are added anyway. Frisk's SAVE and LOAD is applicable because characters in the game mention it more than clearly, and some even use it themselves. It's a power they have, and therefore not considered game mechanics.

An S tier character does not warrant an extra character key, and despite having several games, Street Fighter is still one verse. Also Melee has barely any plot or story at all.

Kirby gets one because This profile was made to establish a base for scaling various characters who only have feats within the Smash Bros series, and depicts Kirby as portrayed exclusively within Smash Bros. If Fox has a page, he doesn't need a Smash profile, much less one from a single game in the verse.

Kirby doesn't have a Smash key. Smash! Kirby only has a profile for scaling purposes.

For a non-canon profile to be accepted, it generally has to not come from a crossover* and be very different (usually a lot more abilities and stats) from their canonical counterpart, as well as notable, amoung other things. *With a few exceptions, here's the Crossovers page.

...Super and Z don't have GT keys, is what I'm saying.

GT has their own seperate profiles and different array of abilities and techniques, don't originate from a crossover, etc
