Let's just assume that Sideswipe was on Earth since 2007 for this.

As Blackout was on his way to pick up Scorponok from Qatar after he signaled for a pickup, he was intercepted about 100 Meters from Scorponok's position by Sideswipe throwing one of his Blades at him. Blackout barely dodges it since it caught him off guard and while transforms above the ground, he signals to Scorponok to start heading his way as he could potentially need Backup. As sideswipe picks up his Blade, the showdown begins as Scorponok arrives.

Fight takes place in the Qatar Desert.

Off the bat, it’s gonna be pretty hard for Sideswipe to really damage Blackout. He’s comparable to Ironhide, who Blackout is significantly superior to.

Blackout also has the advantage of range with his energy wave cannon, as well as flight, and Scorponok would at the least be a distraction that Sideswipe would struggle to take down.

Sideswipe’s durability is the only real issue, but even then, Blackout and Scorponok simultaneously attacking him would be more than capable of overcoming said durability.

I honestly can’t see any wincons for Sideswipe here.

Sideswipe is definitely more skilled than Blackout, so as long as Scorponok doesn't get the jump on him, I think Sideswipe can avoid at least a shot or two from Blackout's gun and try to do some real damage with his Armblades.

Which could let Blackout use his rotor wheel and slice him apart, or even just grab him so Scorponok can get some easy attacks in. Plus Sideswipe would have to attack Blackout quite a few times before he does any meaningful damage, let alone doing enough to take him out.

It’d be easier if Scorponok wasn’t here, but even then, I would still give Blackout the win due to superior strength, much better range, flight (which Sideswipe has like, no answer for) and a partner that would at least be a decent distraction.
