Shouldn't Red be a bit stronger?

The first arc in the series had him, Green and Blue taking out a fusion of the three legendary birds with their combined attacks

I think some parts of GSC arc had them tangling with legendary dogs and Crystal even caught a Suicune

Ruby's Swampert blocked a swipe from a base Groudon

FRLG has his entire team getting hit by a Deoxys's Psycho Boost and they survive it (albeit knocked out)

Emerald arc has Emerald competing with frontier brains that can use legendary dogs like Raikou

I think ORAS may have had Red and Blue fighting off primal Groudon and Kyogre with megas though I haven't read that arc


They regularly fight with legendaries, I don't think they should be pegged as the same as any random trainer just because of average pokemon stats

I'm thinking Red should be small country level in Red & Green arc through contributing to the defeat of the fused birds and closer to Planet level by FRLG through Deoxys scaling.
