should typeing of moves be considered when fighting pokemon

Not sure if this should be on the Content Revision board, but yes. If someone were to shoot fire at a Charizard, it wouldn't take as much damage because Fire Types resist Fire. It may or may not be able to help turn the tide of battle.

However, I'm pretty sure this does not work the other way. If Charizard shot a Flamethrower at a generic enemy made entirely out of steel, then it would still do normal damage rather than double, unless that enemy has an explicit weakness to Fire attacks in its own verse.
