Here's a question that's been nagging at me for a while now which I feel like asking the community. When dealing with a wizard, magician, sorcerer, warlock, etc who has the ability to create wards, barriers and/or magic shields, should their durability with such defenses automatically scale to their AP with magic? Or would they need a feat of using those defenses to protect themselves from attacks on-par with their own for the rating to be justified?
Theoretically speaking, a character with the power to generate magic attacks on a certain level should be capable of designating that kind of power towards their defenses. But as with most things in fiction, the matter might not be so cut-and-dry. What are your thoughts on it?
