he doesn't have all the good shit nor the passives, his weapons are mostly human made with the exception of yamato and I think it would be more of a fair fight

720 layers are good but since the High Godly regen downgrade they can't kill DMC chars which means they will eventually adapt

• Accelerated Development (Training, Abilities), Genius Intelligence (Extraordinary Geniuses), and Technique Mimicry (The Sparda bloodline are almost perfect beings capable of achieving anything, conquering tasks they had yet to master in a few seconds and mastering any moveset in mere moments of observation. Gilver, a clone of Vergil, became familiar with a gun in seconds despite not knowing much about firearms and be uncomfortable with them in the first place. Dante can blend art and science in his movesets and has shown to be able to quickly master all the objects, weapons and vehicles he uses
• Acrobatics (All Types; They can naturally perform extraordinary and complex acrobatic movements as shown many times in the games.

I have no interest in the match up but this alone does NOT make him "one of the greatest skilled fighters on the wiki ever".

Obviously, there’s a lot more going on than just "surface level skillslop" mate. I just posted those out of necessity for this matchup.

For example, his brother can match the precognition of an entity that perceives past, present, future and every possible timeline across an infinite multiverse and does so purely through his natural predictive capabilities. On top of that, Chen integrates the raw experience from his clairvoyance directly into his combat style aka he’s not just seeing the outcomes but he’s also actively fighting with that knowledge he gained out of it and despite all that, Dante still kept up with him. Essentially speaking, the Beastheads with his hosts can read and copy all skills, knowledge and abilities and these same brothers can keep up with it on equal terms.

And that’s without even touching on the fact that these characters can fight effectively an infinite, living void while being inside of it. Certainly that's not common feat to accomplish normally speaking.

So, by all means, I do believe they are fine contenders for one of the greatest skilled fighters on the wiki.

I forgot to mention. Minds are as abstract as names (individual type 1 concepts) within the verse. So I doubt such a thing would work in the first place.

Shibai even when Transcended… can't do anything to Vergil's Conceptual Abstract Existence.

He also has High-Godly Conceptual Regen, and easily resists Reality Warping. And his Yamato does Conceptual damage and can BFR him to a 5-D realm…
