Scissor Seven Revision

Yeah, this is fine if the calc is accepted.

Since this is an extremely straightforward revision, I'm going to apply it now.

That should be fine.

I'm sorry but this calc is wrong. This formula is made for shearing not cutting.

Oh. I suppose that the changes may have to be reverted then.

Would you be willing to redo the calculation Ugarik?

Actually it's a bit unquantifiable because idealy cutting something with an infinitly sharp thing does no work therefore needs no evergy. However we can compare it with cutting in with a regular sword.

Cross-sectional area was calculated to be 32.61 m^2. Compresive strength of steel is 250 MPa.

Low-end: razor blades are about 5-6 microns wide.

32.61*0.0000055 = 0.0001795 m^3

0.0001795*2500000000 = 44839 J (Wall level)

High-End: I don't actually know how wide a regular sword's edge is but I'm going to assume it's about 0.1 mm

250000000*32.61*0.0001 = 815250 J (Wall level)

Thank you. Are you willing to create a calculation blog for that?

Ah. That would mean that Wu Liuqi would be moved back to 8-C based on his bridge breaking feat.

@Ugarik

Agreed. No problem.

@Sir Ovens

Probably, yes. Feel free to adjust the relevant pages accordingly.

Please remember to remove the rejected calculation from the Scissor Seve verse page as well, if it is listed there.
