I don't think so, Obito kamui takes a part of his body into the dimension, which i think also contains his soul.

He most likely could, but he rarely uses it in-character so It would be his wincon. Im pretty sure he would use kamui to get rid of sans.

Eeeeh not really? He used it on Itachi before even meeting him, on Kurama the second he summoned it, on 3rd Mizukage for like, a decade, used it in Konan the moment he could, and used it on Kakashi in the kamui dimension. Obito is unironically one of the most common users of genjutsu, it's just that most of his opponents on screen were genjutsu resistant

Itachi in the novels. Iirc he ambushed Itachi and his squad with a genjutsu. With Konan he did it right after her 600 billion paper bombs to make her tell him where's Nagatos corpse.

I can't find the part where obito used genjutsu on Konan, but I found that Obito used AoE genjutsu. Damn Obito's genjutsu is busted
