Cosmos is the main power of Saint Seiya. It is basically The Force + Spiral Power.
The levels of power of Cosmos are divided by Senses, from 6th to 9th. This is a concept taken directly from Buddhism.

Cosmos: The Primordial Energy which forms and defines existence. Cosmos permeates over everything, from entire universes and dimensions, to the smallest, indivisible quantic particles that form matter, and the soul itself. It is also directly tied to willpower, with characters being capable of burning their Cosmos, causing micro Big Bangs within their atoms and generating immense energy.
6th Sense: The basis of Cosmos. All humans have it, it being the Sense of the Mind and Intuition. However, only the users of Cosmos can reach it's full potential, which is to manipulate the Cosmic-Energy and use it for destruction, as well as do a variety of other abilities such as Psychokinesis and what not.
7th Sense: The True essence of Cosmos, and the level where the line between humanity and divinity begins to blur. One who controls the 7th Sense is unbound by typical physics, and is capable of performing miraculous feats, and ever-so-slightly reality warping. This is the level most mid-level characters are, where they can cause "miracles", such as moving faster than light or generating enough energy to destroy a galaxy. They also seem to have a higher awareness of their surroundings and nature, at least if they meditate.
8th Sense: The 8th Sense, also known as the Arayashiki, is a level far beyond the 7th, and is a state of Consciousness rarely reached by mortals, where one becomes fully aware of his existence and his soul, and a higher understanding of the universe as well. It also enables a person to regain his form in the Underworld, and always revive as long as they are not killed in the Underworld.
9th Sense: The 9th Sense, known as The Big Will, is the ultimate sense, and only Gods possess it, and even them most gods have little mastery over it. It is the final, and deepest consciousness, where one finds himself in oneness with the universe itself, and fully unbound from the lower imperfections of matter and mortality. The gods who wield these levels of power are Tier 2 Reality Warpers.
