Saint Seiya reading order

4,020
4,499
So I'm about to start reading Saint Seiya Manga

And now only do I truly realize how confusing the continuities are due to the parallel universes within in it

So what order do I read it in?

Here's what I think, please correct me if I am wrong I am trying to read it in canonical order here

1. Saint Seiya: Episode Zero (A manga of three chapters that is a prequel to the Classic Manga)
2. Saint Seiya: Origin (A manga of two chapters that is a prequel to the Classic Manga)
3. Saint Seiya: Episode.G (7 Years before the start of Classic Series, Year of 1979)
4. Saint Seiya: Episode.G Assassin - Prologue (months after of the fight against Cronus)
5. Classic Manga: Sanctuary Arc (Year of 1986)
6. Classic Manga: Poseidon Arc (Year of 1987)
7. Saint Seiya: Destiny (A manga of one chapter with a story parallel to the Poseidon Arc)
8. Classic Manga: Hades Arc (Year of 1990)
9. Saint Seiya: Next Dimension (days after the Hades Arc / Year of 1743 in the past)
10. Saint Seiya: Saintia Sho (Events happening parallel to Classic Manga)
11. Saint Seiya: Golden Age (In between of Poseidon Arc and Hades Arc of the Classic Manga)
12. Saint Seiya: Episode.G: Assassin (Modern times, decades after the main series)

And then the rest are just alternate Universes right? Like Lost Canvas?

Assassins takes place after Next Dimension. it takes place in the year 2012 as well

Santia Sho has statements from the author (I think also Kuru as well?) saying it takes place within the same universe as the original classic series

Lost Canvas is a strange universe. There is little hints that it might be connected to the Lost World of Aiolos, but nothing solid.

Edit: Lost canvas gaidens take place both before and after Lost Canvas. it varies by character iirc. Some time traveling happened in only a couple chapters.

Giga doesn't have any way to gauge its placement besides after Sanctuary arc at some point. Ive seen people say "After Hades arc" but nothing confirms this from what i seen.

Kurumada Heroes does take place after hades arc though, and is a strange thing lol

Darkwing is its own thing but still canon to the multiverse (And still cross scalable)

Im very tired right now but everything else does look right to me.

edit 2: omega follows the anime, and comes after oveerture. but it takes place between 2008 and 2010

GR takes place after Assassins.
