I don't know. Rick does have some stuff that could potentially work on Thanos, it's just that Thanos can Reality Warp him to death in a second.

also the infinity stones only work in their own dimension so if rick could find a way to get thanos into another dimension (which i'm sure he could) then he could easily beat him there

oh sorry I didn't see that even then rick still wins because sentient beings can create their own cosmic cubes by opening a rift to the Beyonders' dimension and then allowing the extra-dimensional energy to filter through the rift and then holding the energies in a matrix, and then the force would turn the matrix into a perfect cube. so rick could just make his own or more than one also the cosmic cubes cannot effect time whereas rick can and the cosmic cubes are not as powerful as the infinity gauntlet so rick could also use that
