So Joel holds a good advantage with his better AP, LS, and I'd agure skill as well due to having 20+ years of experience and being able to take down an entire building of military units by himself at the end of the first game. I'd also argue he's better at stealth, has better equipment with smoke bombs, molotovs, nail bombs, a flamethrower, ect. and his enhanced hearing could possibly even neg Rick's stealth

I think Joel takes this a majority of the time simply due to these advantages
