Back in 2018 this match happened, which saw Joel as the victor. That match was eventually removed due to Yandere-Chan's profile being deleted. Since then Joel's game version has been upgraded to 9-B, but Ayano is still the same tier as his TV Show self

Lowkey their brutality is probably pretty equal to each other - Joel has no problem with stabbing a young guy to death while he begs for his life, kills people even if they're surrendering or if they're more or less innocent, etc. I'd even argue Joel is more brutal because at least Ayano only kills people if it furthers her goals Joel would straight up kill her if he thought for a second that she was a threat.

Although he isn't above trying to talk down aggressors and for as smart as Ayano is she basically only kills if A: She views the person as a physical threat or B: She feels that the person is trying to steal Taro, and since Joel is a 50 something year old man who lives in the U.S I doubt Ayano will assume option B is a possibility, so if Joel manages to convince her he's not a threat she'd probably lower her guard or at the very least lose interest in trying to fight him, which could allow Joel to get the drop on her.

I have no idea if that's the most likely outcome just listing it here as a viable win con

The only way I see Joel winning is if he kills herself before Ayano realizes, which will be difficult given that they both have Stealth Mastery. Otherwise, Ayano outskills him given her rating in combat. Lastly, she is smarter than Joel and has the ap advantage, so I vote Ayano.
