Regice vs Saitama

I'm gonna be honest, Regice's tier is completely unwarranted. Manga versions of the weather trio are only country level with feats, and even if they are indeed multi-continent that's with hype only, regi trio only showed to be able to contain the energy that has been calculated to be country level.

Anime regigias is not anywhere near continent level, much less when you take into account anime doesn't even reference him being able to pull continents.

Regigigas could pull the continents that shape the Pokemon world. Regice was able to weaken him.

Not the thread for it... Create a content revision thread otherwise drop it.

What? He's giving his opinion on the matter by providing the stuff he disagrees about, besides it's better to just discuss it here instead of making a content revision thread only for it to get ignored (has happened to me a couple of times).

@AguilaR101 I somewhat agree with the regigas feat being bullshit due to it being specifically said to be a legend in the PokeDex.

No this is clearly not the thread for this. Go make a Content Revision Thread for this as it is off topic. There is a reason we have Versus Thread Forums and Content Revision Forums. If you are not going to make a CRT about this then drop it as this is not the place for it. End of Story. This is a warning.

Saitama. Afterimages, longer ranged shockwaves, Serious Table Flip and Fighting-type punches would bring Regice down.

My bad, thought it did

Tho Regice could still pull of a win if it uses moves like:

Lock On to make sure he'll hit Saitama with moves

Icy Wind to reduce Saitama's speed

Inflict a curse on him via Curse

Paralyze him via Zap Cannon

And then a good OP attack to finish it

Curse doesn't lay curses, Regice is not Ghost-type and speed is equalized.

@Dragon I don't see why not.

Well the title of the move says it all and at the absolute least it will gradually drain Saitama's energy/stamina (or "HP") until he's out of the match
And it doesnt matter if Regice isnt a ghost type, he naturally learns it.
Curse works different for non-Ghosts remember? It is only a AP and Durability buff and Speed Debuff for Regice.

No, Curse only lays a curse if the user is Ghost-type. Any other type uses it and it only enhances attack and defense (lowers speed, but speed's equalized so it's irrelevant).

Oh right xD

but Regice could still use it on himself to make himself more powerful and durable then Saitama, right? And with speed being equal the speed lowering cost is automatically null and void.

Has Saitama ever showed resistance to those temperatures?
How cold is the moon? Also due to newton's law the higher someone durability the more resistant to heat/cold they have.

Anyway back on topic, I'd give it to Saitama, I really don't see any way Regice would be able to take him down , and since Saitama punches things, that makes his moves fighting type, which Regice is weak to, so Saitama has the type advantage as well (Kappa)

Saitama know very little if nothing about martial arts so his attacks should be considered normal type not fighting type.

And others are considered normal types too. Again, since Saitama is closer to "hitting something till it dies" than to "martial arts", pretty sure that would be normal.

And several punch attacks are normal type. Most Fighting type punches have more technique to them that Saitama's very simple punch.

I know it just that Saitama there isnt enough proof that someone with like no martial arts knowledge would use fighting type attacks instead of something like Mega Punch.

Garou and his master are the only ones I understand being fighting type and being able to use fighting type attacks.

There are only 3 Normal-type punches. Meanwhile, there are 6 Fighting-type punches.
And Saitama only knows how to make a fist with his hands and swing it forward to attacks with varying levels of force, does that sound like martial arts?

Like I said if this was Garou I would be singing a different tune.

Mach Punch is literally just a fast punch. Hammer Arm is just a strong punch. Sky Uppercut is just an uppercut. They have has nothing to do with martial arts, but they're still Fighting-type.

Then why is it only primarily pokemon who know martial arts that know these moves? Why cant any normal type with arms know these? Yes game mechanics but because in the pokemon universe it takes some level of knowledge to learn them.

Also defaulting like 90% to fighting type attacks just doesn't sit right with me.

Thunderpunch, Ice Punch, Fire Punch, Mega Punch, Comet Punch, Bullet Punch, Dizzy Punch, Meteor Mash, Ice Hammer, and Shadow Punch are all non-fighting typer punching moves. Meaning only 41% of all Punching moves are Fighting type.

Cant Regice OHKO via Sheer Cold?
Does this mean that if Goku got hit with a sheer cold it would take him out?
Actually yes it would. Goku has not shown to be able to survive Absolute Zero temperatures.

@Dragon only because they're imbued with elemental properties, and Sheer Cold is not absolute zero.

@Rad it has nothing to do with the user being a martial artist. Swampert, Golurk, Slaking etc. aren't martial artsists but they can learn Hammer Arm. Ledyba and Hitmonchan are no martial artists but they learn Mach Punch. Gligar's not a martial artist but it learns Sky Uppercut.

1) Point still stands. You can't assume those punches were fighting type since moves like bullet punch and comet punch exists.

2) Official description. "The target is attacked with a blast of absolute-zero cold. "
