Regarding SCP's and their pages

So I've just finished binge reading the SCP website and watching videos on it as well. However I realized that anyone can make a tale regarding a SCP. This can nerf or wank any SCP currently on the index making the characters extremely inconsistent. How do we go about keeping the pages whilst ranking them correctly?

Thats either extremely impressive or entirely untrue...

No actually they cant, there is an extensive editing and evaluation process regarding what is and isnt allowed on pages with even veteran writers for the site needing to rewrite or even completely scrap their articles before theyre even allowed to keep them on the site, with low quality pages being deleted usually same day or within the week theyre posted.

And yes I know that however If I wanted to write something on a SCP right now all I would have to do is get it accepted...

Yeah, you'd need to get it accepted, and they don't take too kindly to pages written just to be powerful. They've been staunchly against those kinds of pages for close to a decade now (and before they were staunchly against them, ones that were written never got too strong).

Oh okay lol that makes more sense, i was gonna say ive been reading through literally every tale and article on the site since january and im not even close to done

It would need to be of high enough quality and the people who evaluate the articles and tales are rather good about keeping consistency for SCPs so wanking them is actually difficult to do (Speaking from seeing other people try to do it in the past only to have it get shut down immediately) but in theory yes, you could

Well it seems to be safe enough.

I tend to only read thoroughly through the top rated pages on down. The basketball tape was pretty intresting to me. I also watched Top Tats animated vids where he animated Watch questioning different SCPs.

I honestly think the SCP foundation is intresting enough to have its own movie or series.
