This is a question with regards to the SCP Foundation as a canon as a whole whole and this wiki's treatement of them.
How are we supposed to treat joke SCPs with regard to the canon as a whole? I know that its subjective, but I usually kind of took it that joke SCPs were just that, jokes, and not part of the serious canon as a whole. That was until I encountered Scp-666-j who has some explicit connections to serious SCP, namely him being the one to catalogue them.
How do the SCP researchers come into existence? Are they authors for the website who have become glorified and canon within the verse as OC? I ask because of the 001 proposals being seemingly in canon brought up by in universe doctors, but also just general authors. Do some beings just get mentioned in an SCP report and then get referenced enough in other articles and stories that they ascend? Is it something else or does it vary?
