I have a thread on FCOC on this, but it's more of a problem here than there, so this thread. (This has actually been on all three wikis now)

Some profiles on here use soundcloud to auto play loud music on profiles, and usually make it invisible here, so you can't pause it, and have to mute your computer.

I feel like that If you choose to do this, that 1. It has to be visible. and 2. Has to at the very top.

Some examples of profiles that use this are Shaggy Rogers (Dragon Ball X) and Rainbow Dash (True Profile). Mayron Legenrok has some absolute spam of it at the bottom. (which definitely should not be allowed)

I see your problem, But I feel as if revising every page to fit this criteria is a bit too extreme.

I really don't have an opinion on this, since I use Fandom on my phone, and I can't actually hear the music.

Although I agree with Megamangohan that revising every page for this might be a bit troublesome.

But, should we highlight this for community input?

A highlight would be nice.

Just A: Have it more visible/actually make it pausable, and B: Put it on the top of the page so people can easily just turn it off if they don't want to listen to it.

At least, that's my two cents on it.

I suppose that if worst comes to worst we can make a rule which details two things:

Code:
 1. The sound cloud file has to be visible 2. It has to be at the very top.

I've got a far better idea, Just put a message saying something along the lines of "warning, music" on top of the page
All right. I'll try writing a rule detailing this tommorrow.

"When adding music to any profile or page on this wiki, on the form of a sound cloud file, please make it visible and add it to the top of the page, or add a message saying "WARNING: MUSIC" so that anyone who doesn't wish to hear the soundtrack, can turn it off, or lower their volume"

Is this okay to add as a rule?

I am fine with it. Are we going to fix pages that already have automatic music to do this?

I guess we'll have too, but there are a lot of pages. I'll probably set up a souncloud report thread for this, if there are too many.
