Would it be prudent to state within the context of this page that even in the event that some Platonic reality possibly exists where our ideas are actually tangible things, or the possibility of the events of that fictional world are taking place somewhere in reality due to the ridiculous situations that quantum interaction, higher dimensions or similiar philosophical implications might have, that this still means that a fictional reality has no jurisdiction over the real world, as even in this case, our emergent words and concepts created would only be representations of an unknowable thing (like in Impressionist style) and thus still cannot be applied to our reality in any meaningful way?

We are only talking about the imaginary words and pictures created by authors and artists not having any physical authority over our reality within the page.

Their influence tends to be practically limited to the real world humans that they are able to indoctrinate into dogmatic ideologues or zealous fundamentalists.

There is no need to overcomplicate the page with the possibility of parallel realities wherein similar events take place as they do within fiction, theories that quantum observation (including perception/mindset) affects the nature of reality, or similar issues.

Well, yes, I agree with you, and that's what I mean, essentially, I just thought an additional addendum or note clarifying that even if these things are really happening in some other factor of reality, with respect mostly to Plato's Forms about ideas and thoughts being immutable concepts, that that does not change the status of fiction being fiction. I thought perhaps it would clarify misunderstandings.

Plato did not have any proof for his theories.

Well, I'm aware of this. I'm more saying that in a hypothetical situation similar to that, or if a type IV Multiverse, higher spatiotemporal dimensions being related to possibility, or simulation hypothesis/neutral monism/Descartian dualism come into play, that it doesn't take away from the fiction being fiction.

Again, that would overcomplicate the issue, and use wild speculation in combination.

I only thought it might cover all bases and answer any more potential questions about the matter. It's only saying that even if it were the case (i.e, to people saying, "But what if?") that the answer remains the same.

I have repeatedly answered no to this. I would appreciate if you permanently drop the subject.

I was only explaining my point. I don't see the need for such hostility.

I am not hostile, just annoyed by that you repeatedly seek to impose wild speculation about fiction being real in different respects into an official policy page. Our visitors would consider us insane if we started rambling about that.

They wouldn't consider us insane. They most likely wouldn't care in the slightest.

That being said, this would probably on be a confusing addition and it isn't necessary. I haven't seen anyone else bring this sort of thing up, so it's evidently not a hot topic.

Okay. So should we close this thread?

It's just speculation on my behalf. This is a hobby of mine, and I personally speculate about a lot of concepts in both fiction and philosophy and how they relate to our tiering system. That being said. It has nothing to do with undermining or vandalizing the site in any way, and I again apologize if it is perceived as such. I only posited the thought in the first place as a hypothetical in case someone wants to go into some long-winded speech about how fiction and reality interact, and why they don't in relation with to how our site is run.

But yes, this won't go anywhere as most of my thoughts have been met with harsh resistance.

Okay. No problem. I will close this thread then.
