Randall Flagg vs The Protagonist

Inconclusive, probably. Either Protagonist timehaxes for the win or Flagg does literally anything and ends him. Given how it seems like Protag's main gimmick is time manipulation, I gather that's what he'll start with.

Flagg so much as smiling a certain way will bring anyone without mind resistance to a dead stop.

EDIT: Btw, you missed an L in the title. lol

Most of them are either borderline-passive, thought-activated or as fast as a handwave. CtG lightning bolts and magic blasts are good thought-activated examples, but he doesn't always use those.

He once drove someone mad by staring into their eyes for about five minutes. Apparently the person wasn't able to break eye-contact with him either, since the person who saw it happen claimed that the two of them literally stood there until the guy started to laugh and drool.

He dominated the minds of a hostile tribe of twelve just by smiling at them, so there's that.

Him saying the word "Sleep" renders victims unconscious, and saying "Stop breathing" does exactly what the tin says.

Pick one.

Yeah. It's another "who fires first" scenario I think, and on general principle, I'm doubtful that either character is going to job in that regard. (Which they'd probably need to if the other one is to have a surefire chance at winning.)

Am I right to assume that the Protag's time manip activates fairly fast?

Characters with surefire one-shot options almost always wind up either stomping or reaching a stalemate, sadly.
