Now that Raiden's key from MGS2 is being used, there are certain things to highlight:
Skills: Raiden has a considerable advantage in terms of skill; since he was just a 6-year-old boy, he was trained to be a child soldier in a bloody Civil War, where he would even become the leader of a squad of other child soldiers, standing out for being the most ruthless. Even after that, his skills would improve and be refined when he was taken to the United States, where he trained with the Army and his innate abilities were practically admired, being then trained in an advanced virtual reality program and completing 300 missions in this mode. It is also worth noting that Raiden has experience with other swordsmen, as he dealt with his adoptive father Solidus Snake, who, despite having a considerable advantage due to his exoskeleton and experience, Raiden would still end up defeating.
Weapons: Raiden has numerous objects and weapons that can be useful for facing Maki, including stun grenades, explosive grenades, and even white phosphorus grenades. He also has access to darts and tranquilizer gas. Additionally, he can become invisible, which greatly enhances his already high stealth ability, although it is possible that, due to information analysis and analytical prediction, he may be able to anticipate a stealth attack.
AP/LS: Despite the difference in AP, this can be compensated by Raiden's HF Sword, which negates durability and also has an even higher range due to the nature of the weapon. There is also an advantage in LS where Raiden, along with his ability, could take advantage, although it is more convenient to use the HF sword.
