Their first round was against someone with SOUL attacks. That opponent lost though, so yeah.

Alright, there are other ways to kill him such as Existence Erasure since that would remove his entire existence, plus it’s been shown that large enough damage can reveal his soul, I should probably word it better, but most forms of Durability Negation can also beat him.

Existence Erasure is a pretty high-end ability all things considered. And Salivas is the only one that has it in this tourney pretty sure

I assume you still need NPI to hit his exposed soul? Or nah?

No, it’s been consistently hit by Otto, who has never shown the ability.

Okay, within canon he has to unlock his regen and train it while his immortality was granted by his newfound godhood. So hit you bypass his regen you still have to get past his immortality, basically, if you can deal damage over mid-regen, and then manage to kill his soul, you win. He can also be incapacitated, but it’s even harder.

Supposedly overpowering his mid-regen would expose his soul, which can be hurt/destroyed with physical attacks.

I think Salivas holds good enough advantages to win. Ruby is mainly helped by her AP, but the gap is pretty small. Salivas resisting Matter Manipulation likely means he can minimize the effects of her sub atomic cutting. That and mid regen will made it exceptionally difficult for Ruby to finish him off. And he can jump 1000 meters which is above the range of her machete. The machete being so huge also will make it an easy target for the 8 Golden Orbs to erase. He also has teleportation and explosions to give himself a better shot at landing hits.

I’m leaning Salivas if there’re no further arguments.

I agree with this. Her best wincon is the pocket dimension that paralyze’s people inside, but Salivas doesn’t require his physical body to move to dimensionally travel so long as his energy can still pass through his body. The transmutation May possibly work in the orbs, but he still has many ways to win.
