I guess so. What are the rumors about king, exactly? If he has less power than these two i doubt the intimidation factor would work as well as it ordinarily would.

Beyond king's social influencing, spongebob is gonna be doing all the fighting here. However, his only method of actually harming Shadic and Nazo is his pencil, which can be destroyed and/or stolen midfight. Given the astronomical AP difference i don't think this unlikely to happen to spongebob too. Heck, someone at the same level as him broke it. Shadic and Nazo would be way harder to hit too, especially the former due to his acrobatics.

Only problem from there is spongebob's regeneration, but i think an attack that's much greater than this is going to turn him into more than just dust, he'll be outright vaporized completely

The rumors are that King is unfathomably strong, and the rumors can make extremely arrogant people respect him and comply with his orders and make monsters die from fear.

Well, i mean, Nazo became a god of sorts after absorbing all the negative energy from the chaos emeralds, since he said he has "More power than any star, any universe", and shadic still fought him despite being at a massively huge disadvantage, so if he's willing to fight people massively stronger than him i'm sure hewon't just cower in fear. Even if the duo does try to avoid king initially, king could likely be caught in the danger zone if spongebob attacks them and he'd die
