Questions regarding the afterimage time frame

I have several calculations related to afterimage movements, and the best time frame should be the afterimage time frame, which I do not know. If anyone knows the range, please tell me what it is
(if possible, attach a reference for me).

"An afterimage is a visual effect that persists after the stimulation has ceased. The effect is produced by exposing the eye to a primary stimulus — i.e., adapting it to a specific exposure of known duration, intensity, and spectral composition"

i believe that for an after image (speed based ones) to be created, the speed needs to travel a significant distance quicker than the perception timeframe for a 'space' to be created between the two snapshots, so it depends on the perception of the character
so id guess that the timeframe is the perception of the character at the very least, and the distance is the distance between the two after images
